Move past your past and make lasting change in the present.
Trauma therapy in New York City
Heal from the past, reconnect with your authentic self, and build safe, meaningful relationships.
We will look at the past and focus on the present - I believe both are just as important.
You’ve done so much to hold it all together. You’re self-aware, smart, and strong - but still, you find yourself trapped in the same patterns. Maybe your body feels tense all the time. Maybe relationships feel overwhelming or unsafe and it’s hard to trust people. Maybe you have really big emotions you react off. Maybe you don’t even know what you are feeling…you just know something is off. That’s not a personal failure - it’s a trauma response. And it makes sense.
Trauma is the lasting response that impacts you psychologically, emotionally, and physically after a distressing event. Trauma doesn’t always look like a single, dramatic event. It’s often chronic, relational, and invisible - built overtime by feeling unheard, unsupported, or unsafe. You may have learned to keep the peace, read peoples body language and tone, or shrink yourself just to get by. But you don’t have to stay in that cycle!
In our work together, I draw from evidence-based trauma treatments like EMDR, somatic approaches, and mindfulness-based interventions to support your nervous system regulation and trauma reprocessing. I will also teach (if you are open to it) about trauma responses and the neuroscience about what is going on for you. We’ll focus on helping your body feel safer, your emotions to feel more manageable, and your inner world to feel less intense and exhausting. Whether you’re navigating the effects of childhood emotional neglect, witnessed a parent with a mental health or substance use issue, constant relational trauma, parentification, or chronic stress or invalidation, we’ll work to restore a sense of connection - to yourself, your boundaries, and your capacity for healing.
Sound like you?
You feel “too sensitive,” “too much,” or like you have to constantly perform to be accepted
You have a hard time trusting yourself, setting boundaries, or asking for what you need
Your nervous system lives in overdrive- or shuts down completely when things get too much
You’ve been through therapy before, but never felt safe enough to get deep or you have but don’t feel like anything has changed
Here’s what we’ll do together
Trauma therapy can help you feel safe in your body, trust yourself, and break free from survival mode
We’'ll move at a pace that feels safe and supportive - never rushed or forced. We’ll explore the roots of your patterns with curiosity, not judgement, so you can finally understand why you feel the way you do. Through EMDR, somatic work, and a deeply relational approach - we’ll help your nervous system unlearn survival strategies that no longer serve you.
Together, we’ll build self-trust, increase emotional regulation, and reconnect you with the parts of yourself you’ve had to dismiss or neglect. This will be your space to feel, to heal, and reconnect with your authentic self. To build lasting confidence, to feel grounded, and to process what’s been holding you back from the life you really want and deserve.
At the end of the day, I want you to know:
Past experiences don’t have to continue holding you back. You are not broken. Your story makes sense. And you are worthy of healing, connection, and a life that doesn’t feel out of control.

No! Unless you want to. We’ll never go anywhere you’re not ready for. Trauma therapy doesn’t always mean detailing painful memories- it means helping your body and mind feel safer in the present. If we use EMDR, you will be able to process in a way that you aren’t sharing all of the details out loud. We will work gently, with curiosity, and always at your pace.

Yes. My approach is relational, somatic, and trauma-informed - designed for lasting nervous system change, not just insight. If you’ve “understood” your patterns but still feel stuck in them, this deeper work may be the shift you’ve been look for.

EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) is a trauma therapy that helps your brain and body process distressing experiences and beliefs so they no longer feel as overwhelming or stuck. It doesn’t require talking through every detail - instead, using left and right centers of your brain, it helps you rewire how the trauma lives in your nervous system. If you feel like you “know” your patterns and feel stuck with no change, my clients often say EMDR is the thing that helped on a deeper level. If you have beliefs about yourself that you know aren’t logical but drive your behavior - EMDR can help rewrite those beliefs and fully process whats behind them. Please note I typically don’t only do EMDR therapy, instead I bring it into the treatment once we have built a relationship and it feels appropriate and then we carry on with our regular talk therapy as well.
